Tyre rating
Hi there,
Have just bought a Nightfire Red RV8, and only noticed when I got it home that the tyres are 205/65/15 94H. Does that mean they are H rated and not legal for an RV8? I don't want to replace them unless I have to they are nearly new Pirellis. Thanks,
John Holt

John,
The original tyres were 205/65 ZR 15 the ZR rating is no longer available and a V or W rating is what you need now. If you have H rated tyres they are not good enough and the insurance will be invalid.
Do also register your RV8 on the website under moving heading "Register Your V8" box.

Tyre rating
94 is a load rating of 670 kgs. H is rated at 130 mph and although you might not drive at more than 130 mph the car is capable of a higher speed and must have suitably rated tyres (V).
